Who sets up the equipment after it is delivered? All equipment on for sale on our site is customer installable. Smaller equipment usually arrives by DHL or UPS, with simple step by step instructions. Larger equipment will be delivered by our carriers who will make sure the equipment is in good working order (not DOA) before they leave your office or home. Any networking will need to be done at your discretion. The equipment has been delivered, who sets things up from my computer? On the devices where it is applicable, it is up to you to connect your device once it arrives on-site, rest assured you won't be left in the dark. It's as easy as loading the software CD that came with your device and following the on-screen instructions. If you don't have knowledge of how to set up print/scan drivers, don't worry you can call our toll free support line at 1-800-821-2797. There is never a cost for phone support if your warranty is active, or if you have a Xerox maintenance contract. Also, many of our customers engage their usual IT resources for on-site help.
When does my warranty expire? Each machine has its own warranty period, so make sure you know how long it lasts. This information will usually appear on the machine's web page on our site; if not, please contact us with any questions. The start date of all warranties is the day the machine arrives on-site, not the sale date.
How do I obtain a Xerox maintenance contract for applicable products? To obtain a maintenance contract, call 1-800-ASK-XEROX. It is advised you call prior to your maintenance expiring.
Do I have to take out a maintenance contract after I receive my machine? No. But we highly recommend you take out maintenance contract, simply because they are machines - they do break down from time to time. Plus, in order to be covered under the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee you must have a maintenance contract with Xerox.
Can you ship the certified pre-owned equipment outside of where you have listed on the page? Sorry, at this time we are only able to ship these devices to certain areas of Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee located in the Hungate Business Services service area. A few of your machines say "available subject to specific geographic areas" what does that mean? At this time, some of our equipment is only available for delivery in Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee that are located in the Hungate Business Services service area.
Are your supplies and accessories on your site OEM Certified? Yes, they are. We only carry 100% original equipment manufacturer (OEM) approved supplies and accessories for the equipment we sell.
What is your return policy? Hungate Business Services will not issue a return on any order after 90 days from the invoice date.
YOU ORDERED SOMETHING, AND NOW YOU DO NOT NEED IT: If your item is unused, we welcome you to return it to us within 30 calendar days. All returns must have freight prepaid and will be required to pay to a 10% stocking fee, calculated from the selling price of the product on that particular date. Items must be unused for full reimbursement or refunds will be forfeited. EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN IN USE, HAS PROBLEMS DURING WARRANTY PERIOD: If you are not totally satisfied with the performance of your Xerox equipment, at your request Xerox will repair it or will replace it without charge to you with an identical model or a machine with comparable features and capabilities during the first 90 days. If the newly delivered equipment is financed by Xerox for more than 3 years, the Guarantee to repair it or replace it will apply during the entire term of your Xerox financing. Equipment is categorized as printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners
or multifunction equipment. Equipment is not deemed to be toner, fuser
units, waste containers, maintenance kits or any replaceable item that
is critical to machine performance - please see our defective products
policy below for information pertinent to those items.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS - XEROX In the rare case that you receive a product that is defective for whatever reason, please call 1-800-835-6100 right away. Defective claims must be issued directly to Xerox by the end user, and not through Hungate Business Services. This includes customers in all countries, including military orders.
DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS - ALL OTHERS If you have an OEM return, please call our Customer Help Desk at 1-800-827-5424 or e-mail us. Please provide the following information:
- Order Number
- Part Number to be Returned
- Quantity to be Returned
- Reason for Return
We will then issue an approved Return Authorization # (RA#) to you via e-mail. Each product being returned must have freight pre-paid, and have an approved RA# written clearly on the outside of the shipping box. Any product returned without this number written clearly written on the outside of the box will be refused at our logistics center. If product is received without an approved RA, you will be notified and have 24 hours to respond or the product will be disposed of and no credits will be issued.
Order Cancellations Since orders are processed immediately for same-day shipment, changes or cancellations cannot be made. If an order ships that you wish to cancel, simply refuse the entire order on arrival.
I'm Tax Exempt, how do I see this on checkout? We only charge sales tax in Virginia, Tennessee and California. Please contact us and we will promptly change your account status to reflect tax exempt on your customer account.
Do you ship to APO, FPO, AA, AE, AP or Military addresses? Yes we do, and if you're stationed overseas and use your USA (all 50 states) address, you pay our normal rates for delivery. The military takes responsibility for the last leg of delivery. We have no control over their delivery times. Very distant locations have been known to take up to 2 1/2 months for delivery. If the address we ship to is outside of the continental USA, you will be charged the actual shipping cost.
What products can you send to APO, FPO, AA, AE, AP or Military addresses? At this time we can only ship items such as toner, drums, ink and other supplies to international military addresses. We can not send printers, copiers, fax machines or any similar hardware internationally.
